Hello everyone! I hope you had a great easter. Mine was pretty good. We went on Saturday for an easter egg hung. It was Owen's first one and he did really good! He got his face painted like a bunny and the held real ducks and bunnies. It was really cold we had to wear our winter coats! Yesterday we spent the day with my mom's family and it was a good time. Owen got crabby at the end because he didn't get a nap. Well not much else new around here. I have to go clean my house and do the laundry!! Bye for now!

Happy Friday!!! Sorry it has been a couple of days since I have posted! After the flood, almost overdose and a new dog I have been busy!!! I was also on call since then worked like 11 hours and well just got tired. I have a 3 day easter weekend!!! yeah!! We are going to an easter egg hunt, dinner at my aunts and then hopefully it will be nice on monday so I can go to the park with Owen and some of my friends!!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Not much new here. The new puppy is doing great. He is best friends with Owen and my dog Ella! Well I gotta go! Bye for now!!

So today I will blog using key words!
1. Cleaning: All I did was spend my day off cleaning. Chris and I worked together to clean our room and yes it took 2 people and many hours! I did a ton of laundry and lets just say my house has never been cleaner and there are no scheduled parties or visitors at this time.

2. Flooding: That would be what happened when our sump pump decided it was tired and wanted to die. I have respect for him but he could have died when it was not raining! Luckily my husband works for a fire department and they have neat shop vacs and huge pumps to pump out all the water. That leads us back to # 1 which was cleaning because we had a huge mess.

3. Poison Control : That is who I had to call because during our flood Owen decided he was bored, tired, mad, sad , I don't really know the emotion at the time got in his diaper bag, got out the dimatap cold medicine and opened the lid and " LOOK MOM I can Chug!!" Start to drink the medicine! I got the bottle right away and no harm done. Still had to call to make sure my child didn't overdose himself!! He still had a runny nose at bedtime and but didn't fight has hard! ( He really was fine just a very long day for him)

4. New Dog : We got a new dog yeterday and he is pretty cute! His name is Grady and he became best friends with our dog Ella. They have been playing all day and well it is making me tired. They do nap next to each other!

Well that is my day and I am tired. I have a few more things to do but I took a break to blog. I hope everyone else's day went well!!! Hope to see you tomorrow!

I survived 5 miles!

Well I wanted to be sure and blog early in case any of my readers we so worried about my having a heart attack during my run. For those of you just tuning in I participated in the St.Pat's day run yesterday! There were over 8,000 runners! I ran the entire 5 miles without stopping and we (my husband friend Richie) finished with a time of 1 hour 6 minutes! I thought that was pretty good since I have never ran that far ever!!! Well I am off to a huge flea market with friends and my mom this morning! Don't worry I am just window shopping no spending money for me today!!! I also had the issue with the bank resloved. I went to a different branch demanded to speak with a manager put on my I mean business voice and had my money refunded! It will just take about 10-14 days to completely be refunded BUT at least I will get it back. Have a great sunday and ST. Patrick's day!!!!

So not to long ago I confessed to the world that I was poor and trying to make a budget stay on budget and well life just sucks sometimes. So after that post I did very well managing my money we cut back didn't spend and I joined another blogger in a " no buy " march. That is where you don't buy "stuff" just the must haves to survive! So I was so proud and excited today is PAYDAY and I can pay the bills! YEAH! BUT..... I go to look at my account and what do I see??? An overdraft fee that can't be!!!! So here is what happened. My bank cashed the same check twice. The first check cleared in January and they cleared a photo copied check the exact same check that cleared which through my account off other checks did not clear and I got charged overdraft fees. I spoke with the meanest teller at the bank had episodes of sobbing off and on at work and had to contact an attorney just in case they will not correct their error! My husband and I are going to a different branch to speak with the manager (other branch refused to let me speak with the manager) and hopefully they will fix the mistake replace my money and fees. SO if there are any bankers reading this blog please enlighten me on the process of how this could have happened. Well if it wasnt' for bad luck I would have no luck at all!!!! the bank is telling me it is the company I wrote the check out to's fault and that company is saying it is a bank error because they have no record of the transaction! Well I will let the world know what happens! For now I must go to bed. My eyes are red, swollen, and I can't hardly see out of them so I will go and rest my weary eyes! Good night and I hate the bank!

So today was kind of an interesting day at work. One of my good friends had a meeting with our two bosses to discuss varies topics. Through the meeting he was told that him and 2 other co-workers were being accused of forming a click and excluding other people! As you might assume I was part of the " click". The co-workers involved are friends of mine and we all have things in common, we hang out outside of work!!!! I guess other people (one person in general) feels left out! So for those of you who stay at home with the kids imagine work like highschool. People fight apperently there are " clicks" , the mean girls ( not me) and the general rest of the co-workers who mind their own business. I will admitt I like to gossip but I don't say anything that I wouldn't say to their face!!! I love my job and my co-workers so oh well!! I admire all of you that stay at home because I believe that is the hardest job there is. There is no formal training and you have to entertain people all day!!! Great job to you stay at home moms! Well I orignally started this entry on Friday but as usual when I am on call and sit down to blog my pager or phone rings! So I didn't want to press my luck so I waited until Monday afternoon to post this! Well have a good week and I will hopefully be around again tomorrow. Well back again! I was off work today but I was so busy all day that I am even more tired than if I would have gone to work. I went with my husband to register for a St. Patrick's day run. I am looking forward to it. It is 5 miles and you can run or walk. Chris and his friend and as they tell me are going to run. I will probably have a heart attack so if after March 15th you don't hear from me it is because I am still laying in the road trying to breathe!!!! I think I will be fine so no one worry! Anyway I am on call this weekend for work and that kind of sucks. I love my patient and families but on call is always busy. I carry my pager and it just keeps beeping and that means that I will be gone all day and evening!! I always freak out and put myself in a bad mood and it turns out to be just fine. Money

So I have finally come to realize that I am poor. I like to spend money on nothing and my husband and I have a tendency to spend money like we have it! It's always been a problem and we always find a way to fix it but today I think that is all going to change. I thought we had a budget that worked and somehow it all went wrong! I think I need a financial advisor ( a free one that is) to whip me into shape. I guess people don't really discuss their finances due to I don't know PRIDE or if you have money to not sound snotty! I have no pride left tonight and needed to tell the world I am poor and need to stop spending money!!!!!!!!!! I will admit I don't go shopping all the time and if I go to store I don't buy anything you know due to lack of money. I am not looking for sympathy or anything I guess I just need to read it and say it for myself that I have no money. I have a good job, my husband has a good job so what the heck is happening to the money??? Great question! When I discover the answer I will let you all know!! Tips on money management would be great but not required to read this blog. Well that is all I have for tonight my head is about to explode and I suppose I need to go to bed to sleep away my sorrows! Well my readers I am so sorry it has been so long since I posted. My life has been so very crazy busy!! I don't know why!! Either I am on call working late, have a meeting, appointment, crabby child and the list just goes on and on. Owen has been battling a bad cold and ear infection, then he sprained his ankle!!! I thought he was finally getting better and now has a fever. No running nose, no ear pulling ( went to follow up appointment yesterday ears looked great) so I have no idea what illness or problem we are about to encounter again!! I have been so tired that after work , house work, and bedtime I am pooped. So I go to bed early and had no energy to blog! Well I am back and hope to keep up with my blog. This is all I have for tonight we had a long day. It was another snowy ice storm and Owen refused to nap and was very crabby and I had a headache all day and OH my life! See ya tomorrow!!

Well I have not been around lately my blogger friends because I have been so sick!!! Owen was sick first and then I got a horrible cold. I don't know if it was the flu or what. I am feeling a little better finally today but I am still tired and have a ton of congestion!!! The weather here is not helping we are having a slight ice storm!!! I hope everyone else has been well. Not much new because all I have done was lay around and watch T.V. and go to bed super early with Owen!!! If there are any American Idol fans around I am so happy it is back on!!! So I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed out lately. Funny that I just wrote that line at 10 pm and my phone rings for a new patient referral!!! I am on-call and was going to blog and go to bed!! Luckily for me the family does not need me tonight right this minute!! I am off tomorrow and really need it! I go through stressful spells and I am in one right now!! It will pass I am sure of it. So I really don't have much to blog about because I am tired and a little crabby. Does any of my 2 readers have a special way of dealing with stress. I think my stress comes from # 1 WORK, #2 To much cleaning and not enough hours in a day, and well just normal life stuff. Parents vs. Parents

So usually I don't have any particular topic to talk about but tonight I think I do. Lets talk about parents. I think about the way parenting works two people have children those children grow up start a family your parents become grandparents and then like they took care of you the tables turn and sometimes we have to take care of them. That is the situation I am currently in. My dad lives with my husband and I due to the bad economy and poor decisions made a by a life long business partner. So I love my dad I don't mind him living with me and Owen loves to spend time with him. With that stated sometimes he drives me crazy!!!!!!!! He wants to help most of the time his helping is really just making more of a mess, a tantrum and so on. He wants to help with Owen but as a g-pa is more forgiving than Chris or I would be. Owen is a great baby BUT very strong willed and stubborn. Its his way or fit throwing! Lately we have struggled with bedtime so tonight we were crying, screaming, and throwing blankets because he wanted to play. My dad comes home asks why is he crying and decides he will put him to bed. They were in his room talking, playing and then he put him to bed. Sounds great only problem is my dad went to bed and dear Owen is still up talking, hitting the walls, and making the rocker hit the wall. so it is 10 pm I am blogging and exhausted and my 2 year old is still up!!!!!!!!!! I try and make Owen learn wrong from right and sometimes I feel like my dad unintentionally undoes all the hard work! He loves owen and my two neices more than life and I know he means well but it puts me in a slightly stressful place. I can't say anything to him because he becomes defensive and sensitive!!!!!!!!!! I guess I just needed to vent. There are many more examples and I don't think I can write them because I will just cry. So I guess my question to the blogger world is where do we draw the line with grandparents?? What to do I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I am just tired and everything stresses me out lately! Hello again. Well it was a very very long weekend. I was on call for work and it was busy!!! I am not complaining I helped a lot of people but I worked 40 hours in 3 days not including the days I worked earlier in the week. I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Tonight I made Taco soup which was so very yummy!!! I got the receipe from Amy. I am not much of a cook but recently I have expanded and started to cook a little more. I am a very picky eater and I have tried over the last several years to try a lot of new food. For example I never used to like Chili, so I thought( I wouldn't even try it). So Chris made it and forced me to eat some and I loved it!!! I am 28 yrs old and act like a child at times when it comes to food! Not entirely my fault I grew up eating chicken fingers, mac-n-cheese(still my favorite food), french fries and sometimes hamburgers. We had the same meal plan for the week. My mom worked two jobs so we ate quick meals!!! I have grown a lot in the food department thanks to my husband! Thanks Chris!!! I am looking for new yummy receipes if anyone has a favorite to share. It doesn't have to be fancy just whatever!!! Well I am very tired I worked just an hour short of a full day today!!! Hope to see ya tomorrow!!!

Hey everyone! So today was my day off and all I did was clean and do laundry! It was a long day and I am very tired. I told my husband he needs to win the lottery or find a way to make a lot of money because I am tired of all the cleaning!!! I did join the ladies auxillary for the fire department tonight. It was kind of fun. I've never really belong to a group/function like that before. It was fun I got to meet a few new people and the most important thing is I learned that one of the wives SCRAPBOOKS!!!!! She was talking that she wanted to have a stampn up party so I told her I am in!!!! I most likely won't be around this weekend to blog I am on-call and already have 2 maybe 3 new patients to see! So most of the day I was wondering what I am I going to blog about tonight. I was in a bad mood for part of the day for two reasons. One because of work I had the day off but because of the snow I had stay on call until 10:00 am when the office opened. Doesn't really sound that bad but it is how it happened. No one even called to tell me I was on call later or that the office was closed in the morning!!!! I woke up with Owen and called my friend to ask if they were working! Anyway there was more drama but it doesn't matter anymore! The second reason I was upset was because I decided to take a nap ( I know sounds great) but I was so exhausted I slept a lot long than I wanted to and didn't get anything accomplished! Then I realized maybe I was being to hard on myself. I did get to spend extra time sleeping next to my husband because with him working nights that doesn't happen very often. We went to the gym together and had a lot of quality time! So I guess it was better than me cleaning the house and not spending time with Chris! The rest of my day was fine just starting to have bedtime wars with Owen. Being a mom is so hard. You get over one hump and just start to climb another. Well have a great weekend!!!

Partial snow day!

Today our office closed at 2 pm due to bad weather!!! I wasn't to excited because I am on-call and still had to go out in the snow if someone needed me! So far so good just a lot of phone calls! We are supposed to get around 8-10 inches of snow by morning but who knows weather people are not always right!! Anyway Owen is feeling better and YEAH slept through the night! Ear Infection!

Tongight I am very very tired. Last night sweet little Owen was up all night long with horrible ear pain. He would just scream and cry and kick his little feet! I felt horrible no matter what I gave him or tried to do to soothe him it just didn't work. So off to the doctor today with an ear infection that did perforate the ear drum. He is feeling better now I think since alot of yuck is out of his ear! He just went to bed and I hope and pray we get some sleep tonight. Sunday and Monday we were up almost every hour!!! So I hope everyone had a good night because I am going to bed!!!

Hello everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I have put up a post!! I was off all week and had so much to do and places to be!! I had a great weekend at the scrapbook retreat I will post some pictures tomorrow. We went to so many neat places along the way and it was just good. Thanks for all the advice you gave me regarding Owen and his binky!!! I agree he will get tired of it and just throw them to the side! Only time will tell. Well I am at work and shouldn't really be posting right now!!! I am such a rebel!!! I will have more tomorrow! I really don't have much to say tonight. I had to go into work for a very very long meeting this morning (even though I am on vacation) so it took up pretty much my whole day! Owen has a little cold so he was clingy and crabby! You have to love winter time! I am having a slight problem. I had mentioned this before I think I need to break him from his binky (pacifier). We had successfully taken it away from him during the day and he only got it at night. Somehow he managed to get it back all the time! I LOVE the binky! It makes him happy when he is sad, it makes him content when he is tired, he plays with it when he is happy! I just don't know how to take that comfort away!!! I would love any tips that all you great moms out there with kids and more experience. I think it is a controversial topic. Some people told me to keep it longer some say take it away now! I had a very nice weekend! Yesterday I did a bodystep class! Oh boy was it hard. It is a traditional step class with lunges and squats thrown around in there. It was an hour long and after half hour I was hoping it would end or I would just pass out. I did make it the whole time and felt great afterwards. Today I have stuck to my goals for the year! I went and ran 2 miles on the treadmill, then did 25 minutes on the ellipitical machine. Then it was time to clean. I organized all my kitchen cabinets, made my husband and dad study where everything goes, then I scrubbed the counter, washed dishes and mopped the floor! We also did the self clean oven and WOW it really makes the house stink. Chris and I made chili together for dinner it was the perfect cold cloudy day for it!! I almost have all my laundry done. I am afraid it is all a dream and I will wake tomorrow and all the laundry will still be piled around the house and my room! Well I am off to watch a movie!!! See ya tomorrow!

Out with Friends

Hi! Today was another very good day. I went to a new class at the gym this morning. It's called BodyCombat. It is a mix of martial arts and kickboxing. I had a lot of fun but it was hard to follow at first. Tomorrow I hope to do some step areobics. I spent most of the day with Owen and then it was time to get ready to meet some friends. Me and 2 friends from work met for dinner and a movie! We had a really great time ( we missed you Amy). We saw the movie 27 dresses! I LOVED IT!! I recommend it to everyone in the world well except for husbands who don't like chick flicks! Anyway it is very late for me because I love to go to bed early! See ya all later!

Today was a great start to my vacation! I went shopping in the morning because well that is what I like to do best. I went shopping for scrapbook accessories so it was not stressful at all. I did get frustrated at the first store because their computers were down for credit and debit cards and the cashier was young and kept telling me my card was failed. I asked if there was a computer problem because I had just used my debit card at another store! She just kept telling me nope your card is a failure!!! Then her manager called to tell her the computers were down! Poor girl didn't know what to do she had to check me out with the manual maching and I had to tell her how to do and what to write and that I had to sign it!!! I was very nice to her the whole time though. After that the rest of the shopping day was good. I went and worked out with my husband. It was a good time. I am having a lot of trouble this week staying motivated. I have no energy or desire to workout and all I want to do is eat chips, candy bars, and bad stuff!!! I am trying so hard to get back on track. I just need to get back in my zone I just don't know how! I guess it will come to me in time. Vacation

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around the last few days! I worked late on Monday due to being on call and just had so many places to be this week. Last night we had a surprise 75th b-day party for my g-ma. She usually doesn't like to be out in public to socialize she is kind of a homebody. But she had a great time. All of her kids ecxcept for one was in town, her sister and brother came to town and just about all her grandkids were there also. She just walked around smiling all night long!! I had a really great time. Today I officially started my vacation. I am leaving next friday for a weekend scrapbook retreat and decided to take some days before to get some organizing done and just relax before the weekend!!! What a Party!!!

Hello everyone! So last night was the fire dept's christmas party. It always starts out as a family dinner, awards are given out and the DJ starts playing music the grandparents and babysitters start arriving to pick up the children and then of course the drinks start flowing! My personal choice of drinks is wine. Lets just say I had way to much wine and it was a great night!!! I am feeling a bit tired and hung over today. Now I remember why I don't drink very often!!!!! There was a lot drunk fire fighters last night but don't worry all of them had a DD to take them home! Well thats all for tonight I need to go to bed you sleep a lot better when the room is not spinning!!! Hope to see you all tomorrow I'm on call so I don't know how late I will have to work!! Well I wasn't going to get on and blog tonight but then I did create something so very cute thanks to the help of my good friend Amy. I had a good day at work. My evening wasn't all that bad until close to Owen's bedtime. I guess I need to explain that a new pet peeve of mine is relatives getting Owen all hyped up right before bedtime. Some nights it is Chris playing with Owen in his last spare moments before leaving for work, which I understand! My dad lives with our family right now and tonight like other nights he comes home right as I am getting Owen ready for bed and the two of them want to play! It is really cute and sweet and I am grateful and appreciative all that my Dad does BUT I like to stick to Owen routine! Here is why: I am the one who has to listen to the poor baby scream and cry when I lay him down because he doesn't want to go to bed, I am the one who has to get up with him early in the morning when he is cranky because he stayed up later playing and screaming!!!!! I guess I just needed to vent!!!! I love my dad so very much and don't know what I would do without him! Anyway after my screaming child finally fell asleep I went to get a card pattern online and that just didn't workout for me at first. I made a crisis call to Amy and it all worked out. I made this very cute (in my opinion) card for Owen's 2nd b-day invitations! It is kind of late and I am kind of tired so please someone tell me if the card is not so cute and they should not be mailed to people I know, love , and will see a lot of !!!! Shopping!

I had a really nice day off today. I slept in late, ate breakfast on the couch, and then got ready to go shopping. Lately I have felt the need to SHOP. I am always inclined to do so when we have the least amount of money. I know it makes no sense at all!!! I had a lot of gift cards to use so it made shopping much easier. I went to old navy first and got a cute tank top and sweater to wear on Saturday for the fire dept banquet dinner! I think I will look pretty hot!! Then I went to Kohls really didn't find much there and then off the my favorite place in the world the scrapbook store!! When I got there today I found my friend Amy!!! Yeah! So we had a good time shopping I got some very cute paper to make Owen's b-day party invitations!! Then back home where I started to organize my office/scrapbook room. I got pretty far on my desk. When I started you couldn't see the top and now everything has a place and looks great! I still have half the room to clean! I am still doing well with my organization goal. Just have to take one step at a time. I did a cardio workout tonight. Here is a good tip for all of those trying to lose weight like me! I have the Biggest Loser cardio max and power sculpt videos. I don't know if you watch the show but the trainers on the show made these videos!! It is so awsome. The contestants are doing the workout with you so you don't feel so stupid watching super models do the workout without ever sweating like other videos and it really gets your heart pumping! It is so worth getting. I found my videos at Borders. Well that is all I have for you tonight!

It was a long week at work but it has finally arrived ........ MY DAY OFF !!!!!!!! I am very tired this evening but at the same time so very happy to be able to have time to myself tomorrow. Owen will be off the the babysitters (we have a 3 day criteria to meet!) so I can choose what to do!! I will most likely go back to sleep after I drop of the Owen. I will feel the need to clean and organize stuff though. I always have good intentions and then decided sleeping or laying around watching TV is more important than house work!! I have a sick husband here at home. He has missed the last two days of work. I hope he feels better soon and that I don't catch what he has. I am so sorry to not have anything really of interest to talk about. I never know what to write and quite frankly I kind live a boring life. A life that I love and wouldn't change but boring!!!

Well I just wanted to say hello! I wasn't around this weekend due to being on call for work and being very very busy!!! I was at the gym last night doing a class called body pump. It was soooooooooooo fun! I can't hardly walk tonight and it's hard to hold Owen because my muscles are so sore!! It is a class that you have a weight bar and you do different excercises for an entire song using each muscle group you can think of and it was an hour long class!! That brings me to my next thing. I have so far in the 8 days of January kept up with my resolutions. I have being eating much better and excercise almost everyday. I pick up the toys, and the rest of the house on a daily basis. I have been making a small list of things to do before I go to bed at night. It only has 3-5 things on the list and if I accomplish at least 2-3 of them I consider that a success!!! Slowly I am catching up on laundry and getting my housed organized!!! I feel I can succeed this year!!!! I am tired and not feeling very well so off to bed I go!!! 7 Random things about me

I was tagged to write 7 random things about me. Sorry it took me so long to get to this. I was having computer trouble and working on my resolutions!! So here it goes!
1. Paranoid Personality: I always feel like people are judging me, talking about me or laughing at me!!! I think it started from mean girls in high school. I had a lot of mean things said to me and about me and one of the mean girls was my own mom!!!!! I am trying to work on this but it is hard.

2. My favorite food is Mac-N-Cheese. I could eat macaroni with every meal every day of the year. When I was pregnant I could eat a whole box of kraft mac-n-cheese and still be hungry for more. At every family holliday they make a dish just for me!!!!

3. I love PIGS Ever since 8th grade I have collected pigs. Anything with a pig on it I had to have. I had figurines, towels, blankets, pillows, ornaments, shirts, I have a piglet tattoo, and another hog wild pig tattoo, my license plates has pigs on it, I had picture frames, trust me if they made something with a pig on it I had to have them.

4. I have 3 tattoos and would like to get my 4th. I got me first and second and third tattoo with Chris. Our first one was in Las Vegas where piglet was placed on my shoulder. Then in Ohio I got my initials with tribal on my lower back. Then in Illinois where I live I got the mean little pig (it is cute though) on my ankle that says Hog Wild!!!! I want to get another tattoo with owen's name or something!

5. I am addicted to TV. I love to watch Days of our lives, biggest loser, grey's anatomy, ER, Law and Order, Samantha Who, the list gets bigger and bigger every season. I finally got DVR in September and I can't believe that i ever lived without it!!!

6. I am ve sensitive.ry I have a little bit of low self-esteem which ties into the paranoia. I get my feelings hurt easily and really doesn't take much to make me cry. I cry at weddings ( usually unless I think the couple is not suppose to marry), I cry at TV, and when I get really mad I cry. There was not a day that went by when I was pregnant that I didn't cry over something or just cried because I was crying.

7. I like to watch Nascar. My favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson who by the way was the Nextel cup champ as was he last year also! Yeah!! I would love to meet him because I think he is pretty hot but I have no chance since he has a super model wife!! I enjoy watching the races on Sundays with Chris, my mom and step dad, and I loved going to see a race in person!! Hope to catch more races this year!!!

Well another year has passed and now here is 2008. My goals for the new year are a lot like everyone else's I suppose but they are pretty important to me. So here is my list and I sure hope I can stick to it!!!

1. Lose Weight: I have 20 pounds to lose so far to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. If you don't know I had lost 30 pounds was looking smokn' hot and I got pregnant with my Owen!! So I want to get that body back (except exclude having another baby!) I have lost 5-6 pounds before the new year but now more healthy eating, going to the gym more and no more lazy Leslie!!!! Amy I know your out there and I will be your support and you can also be mine!!! Just call during a sugar crisis!!1

2. Family Time: My husband works nights and I work days so we don't always have a lot of time together. So I want to make an effort to spend the most quality time with him and Owen whenever I can. I don't have a lot of controll over this one but I know we can work it out!!

3. Get Organized: This is the number one goal for me in 2008!!! My house is a mess!!! Toys everywhere, papers on the table cabinets a mess, closets open with care and laundry , laundry, and more laundry!!! I am making a point to slowly start organizing my house and life in general!!! I know I can do this I just have to stick to it!! So in few days, weeks an months please feel free to ask me how it is going!!!

I have already made a great start to the new year. I woke up early with Owen we cleaned up all the christmas decorations and I put them away in a nice organized manner(first for me). I cleaned the kitchen put away and organized the toys, and did several loads of laundry today. We spent time as family playing and laying on the couch before chris went to work. I also went to the gym and had a good workout!!! Here is to the new year and good luck to all of you and your goals!!!

Well yesterday my brother and his wife welcomed a new baby girl named Ellery Veronica she weighed in at 6 lbs 6 oz and was 20 inches long. She is so cute and has so much hair!!! Work this week has been kind of busy and I have been really tired so I wasn't around much. I have been trying for a very long time to try and organize my house and keep it so much cleaner!!! I hate laundry and so I know I need to get better at that. I know I only have like 2 readers but I was wondering if anyone had any good organizational tips for me. I feel like I am super busy and well I guess I would rather nap or sleep all night than clean!!! Well I have bills to pay and a budget to update so good night and I hope you have a great weekend.

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been a while since I've been around. It has been a very long weekend and Holliday. I had a very good christmas I just never really got into the christmas spirit. I was a lot less stressed this year and all my plans and gifts pretty organized which is a first for me!!!! It just didn't seem like x-mas to me and I have no idea why. Owen did enjoy opening his gifts most of the time. He was sooooooooooo tired this morning he wasn't really into opening gifts and got very upset with Chris when taking his picture. Well today I was challenged a little to discuss how to dicipline my son. Well Owen is only 20 months but he has a very very STRONG personality. What I mean by that is he already has a temper. He likes things his way or no way at all. I know most kids his age are like that but for example we tried taking the pacifier away at bedtime. Yeah right. The doctors said just let him cry he will finally fall asleep nope not Owen if I would have let him he would have screamed all night long!! He does not give up easily. As far as dicipline already we try and teach him right from wrong. We use NO NO a lot and very short time outs. He knows when he has to sit he was wrong. I grew up in house with divorced parents and surely learned responsibility really early. My husband on the other hand grew up with 6 siblings and alcohol/drug addicted parents ( who have been sober for a very long time now). I had my neice live with me for about 5 or 6 months who was 7 at the time. She has had a very rough childhood to say the least (that is another long blog. She was very challenging to me. She was used to yelling, screaming, knock out drag out fights between parents, being ignored and being bad on purpose to get attention because hey bad attention is attention. So we battled everyday. I guess here are some of the methods I tried. Right or wrong I don't know.

1. Talking: I tried to talk to her like the little person she was. I would tell her why I felt something was right and the reasons why it was bad. Most days it worked others she was just in a mood and didn't care. I did not yell a lot because it didn't phase her, she was used to yelling. I do this with Owen also. I tell him time to go nite nite and I pick him up and take him to bed or he is ready and walks himself to his crib. Same at bathtime time to get out if he doesn't cooperate I pick him up and that is that.

2. Time out: I had to send her to her room to give her a chance to calm down when she got her self all mad and crazy to a point. She was not used to rules and did not like when our rules were inforced. She would yell and scream and throw tantrums. I would calm take her to her room and let her "Chill out" and then would could work things out.

I really don't have more to add at this point. My main goal for Owen is for him to learn to be polite, respect others and to learn what responsibilty is and to be an overall good guy!! Chris and I have a complicated family between my in-laws and his so responsibility is a big lesson for Owen

Bubble Wrap

Well today was a pretty good day!!! First thing this morning at work we had a surprise visit from Santa!!!!!!!!!!!!! What that meant was we got a bonus check YEAH!!! I was pretty excited since tomorrow I have to finish my christmas shopping so now a lot of stress has been eliminated!!! My nurse manager is pretty easy going and this past year has had at least 3 fender benders. She has either ran into the back of another employees car, hit 2 poles, and side swiped a bakers car the day before Thanksgiving leaving our work parking lot! so today me and 3 other co-workers bubble wrapped her car and left a sign in the window that said Caution Susan on Board!!! She saw it when we left tonight and thought it was sooooooooooooo funny!!! Other than all that excitement my day has been pretty good. To the gym after work, dinner with Owen and the husband, watched clash of the choirs ( pretty good I would say) and Owen off to bed and me to balance the check book and of course catch up on my blog and everyone else's!!!! Oh Monday

Well back to work I went today! I was pretty busy so at least the day went by fast. It was a little cold and slushy out so it made driving a pain! Anyway nothing to crazy or exciting happened in my world today. My days all seem to be about the same. I stick to a pretty regular schedule or routine. Work all day, home to hang with Owen, eat dinner, give Owen a bath, and then bedtime, then it's time to clean up the toys and house and clutter, maybe scrapbook, check out the internet, and then man I get tired so off to bed I go! Most days I do go to the gym because if you remember I am on a lifestyle change!!! I did set up my cricut and started to get used to it!!! I was going to start and make a calendar but I am getting tired and my brain was yelling please please please don't use me anymore today!!! So I agreed and did not make a thing! Well I am not off until Thursday and on-call tomorrow so I don't know if I will be around!

My Birthday . .

Well today is my birthday and I turned 28. I was supposed to have a pary last night with all my friends and some family BUT we had an episode of snow. The weather was not very good and well nobody showed up to my party. I completely understand that no one wanted to go out in the snow but I feel like a total lose who has no friends!!!!! Today has been a good day. Chris (my husband) Owen and I got up ate breakfast and played in the snow!!! Owen had a great time it was his first time in the snow. Then Owen and I took a nap and we went out to dinner with my mom and stepdad. I got a cricut for my b-day from chris and my mom got me stuff to go with it. For those who don't know what a cricut is it is a die cutting tool for scrapbooking. I am really excited to use it but tonight I am going to hang out with my owen and chris and just relax!! What a day! Thank gosh it is Friday!!!! My birthday is in 2 days and tomorrow my husband has the night off of work we have a babysitter and out we go to celebrate. I have some and family and friends coming out to meet us for dinner and drinks YEAH!!! The only problem I forsee is that we are supposed to get 4-8 inches on snow tomorrow. It will be pretty and be just fine!! I actually had time to myself after putting Owen to bed. I created a great layout for a word challenge of HOPE. Well I have used my brain way to much today at work and then at home and lets face it I like to go to bed early and it is way late for me!!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend if I don't get a chance to write!!!

Shopping

Well I had a pretty good day today. I spent the day with Owen who was pretty good and not that crabby!!! We went to the gym to workout in the morning and then off to the mall for christmas shopping. I got most of my shopping done with just a few more people to buy for next week. This x-mas is hard because we are on a tight budget. Last year I had credit cards galore and all I had to do was CHARGE IT and everyone had a great gift. Not this year!!! Oh well x-mas is not all about the gifts. I am very tired from Owen and shopping so hopefully tomorrow I will get a layout or two done. On saturday we are going out to celebrate my b-day!!! Talk to ya later!!!

Where does the time go?

Well I am in the process of another night on-call. It makes two nights in a row thats why I was not heard from last night. I worked late and was really tired. Today was a good day. We had our work christmas staff meeting and it was actually fun!! Really nothing to exciting to report. Just another day. Owen was a little crabby I will sure be glad when he talks more ( I know enjoy it while it lasts) but really the pointing and grunting is driving me crazy!!! He did get happier. I am off tomorrow and plan to finish my x-mas shopping. And who knows what else I will do maybe take a nap. I LOVE to take naps. Well I did not create anything today but I did make a b-day card for my friend sara for her special day today. Well see ya all later.

Cold rainy days....YUCK

Well today I was home with a cold along with Owen! All this cold rainy days makes for snotty noses and fevers. Owen is feeling better but I am not feeling so great. I did get to lay around with Owen today since I wasn't able to go to work. I will be at work tomorrow though. Nothing really new since sleeping was the main activity at my house today. I am trying to get into the chirstmas spirit but it just isn't happening. I have a lot of shopping to do and not a lot of money to do it with. Living on a budget sucks!!! Well I am off to bed soon so I can make it through my day!!! Have a great rest of your night and hopefully tomorrow evening I will be able to scrapbook!!!

Another weekend Past....

Well I had kind of a busy weekend. On Friday my little Owen did not feel well so we just laid around on the couch and watched TV. I love to snuggle with him because he is such a crazy monster that he doesn't stop for cuddles or kisses!! Saturday I was shopping and volunteered for work to sit at a booth at the mall to sell candles and frames! WOW was that boring!!!! The mall was busy and it was great to watch the people but 3 hours seemed like 10. I had a friend from work with me but she left to shop for about an hour and a half!!! Today was off the the gym lost another pound to make a grand total of 6 yeah!!!! Then I just did laundry and dishes. I did finish my x-mas cards that are super cute!!! It's Friday

So I made through another week of work. For some reason it just felt like a long week. Still waiting to see pictures of the puppy I might add to my family! I am not a very patient person so I really want to see those pictures that was supposed to be sent!!! My sweet baby either has cold or his 2 year molars are making an appearance. Very cranky and just cried for like 2 hours!! So like any good mom I got out the pajamas, gave him his binky, got a pillow and blanket laid of the couch, cuddled a little while and then BAM !@!!! Happy baby once again ( it did help he had tylenol and cold medicine). I have a busy day of shopping and volunteering at our local mall for my work!!! Well I am tired and feel like I need to lay on the couch and catch up on all my shows that I taped!!! Have a great weekend.

Hello everyone! So it has been a busy week already but thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! Today I received an e-mail from a lady who I adopted my current dog through. She used to work for a rescue shelter. She found a poor little pit bull mix yesterday and needs to find it a home. So she asked if we would like to take the puppy!!! My house can be a crazy zoo most of the time but the catch is that if no one takes the pup it will be euthinized because in MO they will no long take pits and automatically put them down. My husband is pretty much agreeable to take the dog but oh the responsibility!!! What is a girl to to!! I don't want to be a dog killer!! Other than that drama nothing really new here. Just working and I actually started my christmas cards again last night. Well I have to go! Have a great night and weekend if I don't get back to ya

Well here I am back again!! I had a very very busy weekend on call and by the time I got home and settled and Owen to bed I just crashed each night!! But it is OVER!!! I got off work early today and tried to take a nap but it doesn't always work well with a son and husband at home. So I did go to the gym! Yeah for me! I have lost 4 pounds and I think this week I will reach 5 pounds! Thats good for me!!! I just have to keep working and be patient. I am going to try and get some chirstmas cards done tonight and tomorrow since I am off. We''ll see. Nothing really new or exciting here. I kind of lead a pretty boring life. So sad for me. Anyway my birthday is in a couple of weeks and I am pretty excited about it. Well see ya later

What a busy , busy , day!!!

So I was off of work today finally!!!! It has felt like an eternity. Anyway got my grocery shopping done, went and had a good workout at the gym with my hubby and we even had a nice lunch! I started christmas shopping today! I must be really sick or exhusted or something because my normal shopping routine starts around december 20th! I went to the new Target ( I love it) and wanted to get some more really cute calanders to scrapbook with for gifts, my friend had made a really cute one! But they were all out ( I bet I know who bought most of them!! ) Anyway I did not get a chance to create wonderfully glorious things today. I hope to finsih my x-mas cards tomorrow but I am on-call the weekend! You remember the little black box that taunts you!!! Well I hope everyone had a great day and I have no idea when I will get to write again!!!

So I was not able to write last night due to being on call for my job. I am a nurse for those of you who don't know me ( and I don't even think people read this)and work for a local hospice. I love helping families 24/7 on call but I hate my pager. It is just a little black box constantly teasing you. You can't sleep because you know at any minute you might hear beep beep beep and you say " are you serious!!!" because of course you just fell asleep!!! So I am tired today due to lack of sleep. I did however manage through my work day, go to the gym for a great workout and play with Owen, give him a bath, and put him to bed ( with his binky because I am not the strong parent)!! I am off tomorrow and plan to grocery shop, x-mas shop, workout and hopefully have time to make some cute calendars or a page or two. Talk with you all tomorrow!

So my dear sweet little Owen learned how to say NO NO and Mine these last two days. He is so funny some days and a little not so funny when he is a big crab. Today would be a crabby day!!! We are trying to break him of his beloved binky! Not going so well!!! Owen is tired, his mama ( me) is tired and poor ol' dad is even tired. I am so proud to have written 3 days in a row. Thats a real record. Not much new in our world besides crabby 19 month olds. I am on call for work tomorrow so I don't know if I'll be around!! Have a wonderful night and a great tomorrow.

Well another day here and gone. I am very tired today! It was a long day cleaning and cooking for the in-laws. I made the best cheesey scalloped potatoes ever! I could have eaten the whole dish but I am on a lifestyle change ( a.k.a. diet) to lose some weight!! A group of us at work are journaling our food and work outs to support each other in our weight loss. I will keep you all updated with our success. I wanted to scrapbook today and create some wonderful things but my mind is way to sleepy to be wonderfully creative. Well have to work tomorrow so I guess I will see what the day has in store for me! Until next time..........

Hey anyone who might read this! I have never had a blog before and really don't know much about them but here I go!!! I have had a pretty relaxing day up with my son
EARLY this morning and then off to the gym!!! We did get lunch and a nap in today. I love nap time! I did some shopping today even though I was crazy enough to get up on Friday at 4:00 am to shop with my husband. I had to get a cricut!!!! It is a b-day present from my husband and he won't let me have until my b-day which is in another 3 weeks!!!! Well I am off to bed since it will be a long day tomorrow. I have my in-law's coming over to celebrate Thanksgiving!! Well Hello and goodbye to my new readers ( if I have any yet).
